One was an important member of the team which, many believed, had the ability and firepower to defeat any opposition home and away in the late 1970s and early 1980s. A more than handy batsman down the order and a wily spinner, he also captained and coached his country.
The other made his debut in one of the most memorable (statistically at least) Test matches in history where unfortunately he, along with his team, was at the receiving end for most part of the match. Both hold a similar record for their respective teams. Identify the players, and the record held by them.

Correct Answer : The correct answer was given by indian, and the correct answer is that they are the
only players from their respective countries to take a wicket off the 1st ball of their debut Test Matches. Intikhab Alam achieved the feat for Pakistan against Australia in 1959, whereas Nilesh Kulkarni did it for India against Sri Lanka in 1997.
