LOGO QUIZ -1

Every now and then, acquisition of companies by Google is in the news.  Well to be precise, Google has acquired slightly more than 100 companies in the past decade with an average of more than one company per week since 2010. The picture below has the blurred images of three companies acquired by Google. Guess the name of these three companies. Also make a guess about why the images of 'these' particular companies among the hundreds acquired by Google are selected in this quiz.

Correct Answer: The first part of the quiz was correctly answered by Arjun Sunar and Brijmohan while the correct guess for the second part was provided by Ankit.The names of the three companies shown are
Double Click, Motorola Mobility and Youtube. They are the three biggest acquisitions by Google in terms of value in US Dollars, the only companies for which Google had to spend a 10 digit figure or more to acquire. Youtube was acquired on 09-10-06 for a sum of $1,650,000,000. Double Click was acquired on 13-04-07 for a sum of $3,100,000,000. Motorola Mobility was acquired on 15-08-11 for a whopping sum of $12,500,000,000.

dis is a guess..but arent dese da only 3 companies for which google had to spend a 10 digit figure to acquire...
